Every year at AEGEE-Groningen is filled with social drinks, fun local activities, and exciting trips. But who organizes all of these events? The board cannot organize all of these fun activities by themselves. So that’s where you come in!

Each year there are many opportunities to become an active member in AEGEE-Groningen. Organize a hitchhiking competition to Copenhagen, introduce new members to all the ins and outs of AEGEE-Groningen, or create and design your very own almanac! The options are endless.

When you join a committee, you become part of a team that organizes activities, trips, or creates materials under the guidance of the board. You meet on a weekly basis with your committee members to have dinner, discuss and meet about the activities you are organizing, and to join our weekly social drink afterwards! Usually you join a committee for a year, so you bond with your committee members and make some amazing new friends. You also develop yourself in non-study related areas, and get to organize or create something that you can be very proud of afterwards!

And then there is the committee competition – our yearly battle for riches and glory between the committees of AEGEE-Groningen. Earn points by joining activities, creating a logo, or fulfilling challenges to become the ultimate committee of AEGEE-Groningen!  At the yearly Active Members’ day, the ultimate committee receives a prize – to celebrate their achievements and bonding throughout the year. So make sure to join a committee, and get ready for battle!
