AEGEE-Groningen is not just a student association in Groningen – we are part of a European network, AEGEE-Europe, with over 150 AEGEE locals! From Bilbao and Alicante in Spain, to Istanbul and Antalya in Turkey – you can find us in over 40 countries throughout Europe. All these other locals all offer amazing opportunities as well – from cheap vacations in the summer called Summer Universities, to large-scale events where 500-800 students from all over Europe come together in one place. And as a member of AEGEE-Groningen, you can visit them all. The biggest event, that takes place twice per year, is the Agora: five days filled with meetings about the future of AEGEE, parties, and cultural exchange. And you can be certain of one thing – all of these nationalities together in one place make for amazing parties!

This European Network does not just lead to lifelong friendships, many traveling opportunities, and amazing parties. With its many European committees, working groups and other bodies, AEGEE-Europe focusses on a lot of societal themes and issues as well. Events and meetings are organized on topics such as sustainability and equal rights, and there are many opportunities for personal development as well.
